I’ve been here 21 days.  How delightful to experience a culture in which the transformation of the earth season from Winter to Spring is seen as auspicious, special, important, and significant enough to remind all of its citizens of this truth by making Vernal Equinox a National Holiday.  This act is a residual vibration of honoring the earth and our connection to it.  Japan has an old sustainable history of Martialing Energy, Contemplation, Meditation, Tea Ceremony, Gardening, Industrial Innovation, and deep Arts and Craft Lifestyle in which each fragment of life celebrates and honors the whole of existence.  Examples of how the Culture is still connected to the Earth can be seen in the Arts and Craft aesthetic, and Gardening.  The Earth provides for our bodies wellbeing by regenerating us by transmitting Electrons if we just step on it barefoot.

On the day of celebration of Vernal Equinox here in Kyoto at the invitation of Mitsuyo, I visited the City Museum of Kyoto to see an Exhibition of Kimono which was accompanied by Ikebana (Japanese Flower Arranging).  The Kimono artisans were also present seated along the wall across from their kimonos usually about three hung on various display stands.  I talked with one of the artisan Mr. Masaaki, whose talent was the Shibori technique (tie dying, wrapping the small bits of fabric in rice kernels or tiny pellets and dying fabric to created image).  Mr. Masaaki has a friend in Los Angeles Tad Shibori who is a renown Shibori Artisan that I look forward to meeting on my next trip there. Geisha, my favorite “hyper feminine Asian Carmen” Archetype wears Kimono with flourish and honor, and I’m sure she is the muse of all Kimono makers.
FASHION DEVINE

Especially in Kyoto on holidays wearing Kimono is encouraged (free ride on public transportion).  I saw many girls in groups of two and three moving around Gion and Shopping areas is pretty kimonos.  Mitsuyo commented on the fact that Kimono can very warm, because they are made of silk, and that because it does not change each generation could wear the kimono of their mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and so on.  Mitsuyo’s Great Grandmother loved Kimono, and had many of them, her grandmother was influenced more to western and had fewer, and so on.  She has the kimono’s of her great grandmother that she will give to her daughter.  Talk about Sustainable Design and Beauty celebrating the Earth Matrix.  LOVE= Living One Vibrational Energy!
MY SPRING AWARENESS

The emerging awareness that I have received this spring day is a deeper knowing that everything is energy, and that my mind is a matrix, and the earth matrix is my home ship, and it is the main matrix that I choose to honor over and above the matrix created by other forces that discredit my power.  The matrix of the earth restores my body temple.   The simple and free experiencing of the earth with bare feet balances me so that the body can heal itself because it has received the electrons from the earth, which is brings in more oxygen to the body and I am recharged and at homeostasis.  My connection with my oversoul  is the wholeness and optimum way to experience this world ship.  Barefoot Meditation in the Sunshine or floating in salt water/ocean is a great way to receive the earths energy of electrons that restores and recharges our bodily systems.  So that’s why I want to go to Jamaica.
Spring is the arising out of the darkness into the light.  The winter was to discover the illusion and seed myself with new thoughts and desires and spring is to pierce the veil of illusion and arise into pure love, LIVING ONE VIBRATIONAL ENERGY.    I SAY  “I’m sorry, Please forgive me, I love you, I thank you,  to all beings.
With this Spring I am endeavoring to replace old repetitive thoughts with Brand New Thoughts.  New Thoughts all the time.  Oh I am so excited.  I am in my power.  More vivid thoughts, and more immediate inspired action.

All the things of beauty that I see are muses allowing me to see the elements that I want to assemble.

A womaness retreat facility that is feminine in nature and vibration.  With creative art centers expressing  arts and craft of  Ikebana, Library of feminine  arts huh, aren’t they all.   Beautiful farm lands,  Feminine skills of delicately being on the earth with ravishing beauty,  Homage to Africa, Bali, India, China, Japan, Korea, Housing for creative Elderly.  Games for Girls.  Laughter and glamour, mutual service.  A place where transformation for everyone is facilitated.  a place where we do our work of connecting with the Oversoul,  Healing the physical, emotional, psychic bodies.  A place for classes in sovereign mind coaching, and Visioning.  Creating an Earth relationship culture, the seasons, the planets, the nearby (animals and plants), harmonious sustainable practices of home building and space planning.  It’s beautiful, vigorous, tranquil, celebratory, international, powerful, vibrant.  Living One Vibrational Energy. Spring out of the darkness and into the light.  I take this fragment of earth life and create a more more expansive idea of myself beginning at home.  Thank you. I love you Spring, and the culture of Japan that connects with the Divine.

JAPAN

My first stop was Tokyo, Narita Airport

Huge with hundreds of people but very very quiet at baggage claim?  I took a train from there to Tokyo Station about an hour away.  Wow, was it bustling.  It was Sunday evening and thousands of travelers in what seemed like Grand Central Station in New York, but the dinn was soft and low.  People efficiently moving with fabulous LUGGAGE.  EVERYone seemed to have Gliding Luggage, which I soon learned are called “spinners”.  Baby that’s what you want when you travel near and far.  Noiseless, and weightless Spinners.  Wheels that spin 360 degrees, colors out of this world bright, prints, oh I could imagine some graphics that would spark the travel industry.  Huge Sepia Tone Jazz Musician Photos emblazoned on the luggage , My handpainting covering a carry-on, oh what fun.
Oh, I forgot to mention I traveled First Class all the way from Charlotte.  This was my first First Class travel experience.  I love it, “It’s the only way to fly”.  Vanessa has been telling me that for years.  Yeah baby, seats go all the way back, very nice meals, drinks, music, documentaries, and all the movies in the theater today right there at the push of a button, 13hrs from Atlanta flew by.
I have imagined all that has come to pass and more for me.  I will keep dreaming big.  So many new angles in my life, and so many new dreams to create and hold.  I’ll keep you posted on my Kyoto experience.  PAL /Peace and Love, Akiba

I practiced Kundalini Yoga for several years, even took Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training and taught for two years.  What I discovered is that Meditation is the grand prize of an hour long yoga set.  Meditation is the peace we enjoy at any moment we release the hold of outer world and dwell within.  Meditation or Surrender for just a moment is the treat achieved even at our early stage of attempting to meditate.  That place or Consciousness is ALWAYS “there” within us.  Activation of our mind to surrender to Consciousness creates wellbeing that all the outer world conditions (even the ones we don’t like) rest upon.  Activation and practice of meditation recreates us, creating a new quality to our lives.

A Tibetan Monk said,”Mind training matters, it is not a luxury, or just a supplement for the soul…”  the very quality of every aspect of our lives is affected for the better by mind training.

Take care of the way our minds function. We will obtain new perspectives.  New ways of perceiving is the relief and expansion so enjoyed by our mind, emotions, and body.

As a child I was saddened by the poverty of children in Africa, South America, and Asia.  As an adult it made no sense that this poverty still existed.  Something was out of alignment with truth.  Yeah, I got the excuse of corruption and greed of the governing third world countries, with ideas that went so far as to expose the basic inferiority of the savage people who rape and plunder their own people.  News reports display the proof of the out of control poverty and viscious inhumanity of some people. As an artists I have had many opportunities and exposures.  I have been exposed to information that reveals the economic and programmed victimization of entire countries, and the general population of the world by corporate giants.
Well we have all been very happy about Barack Obama being elected US President and that a black family occupies the White House, finally.  We are supporting the Energy of CHANGE, HOPE, PROGRESS, PEACE, and LOVE.  Obama Governmental reforms of Healthcare, The Greening of the Environment, or in short SUSTAINABLE LIVING will allow for a bit of Change, Hope, and Progress.  Let us be careful that we are continuing to create our lives and that we are not freezing our dream in anyone elses dream.
I think the words Sustainable, Abundance and Peace will point to the creation that we want Barack to allow.  Barack is a maintainer of a system, and I pray for him to be innocent and a force of Allowing for the Age of Awareness.  A Sustainable Economy  rest upon Sustainable Thought.
What is sustainable living, and what is a Sustainable Economy?  Sustainable living begins with Sustainable Thought which leads to practices that contributes to FLOURISHING of the earth and its inhabitants.  The idea of Abundance is a sustainable thought.   Sustainable Energy, are the practices of utilizing safe clean abundant solar, wind, wave, and geothermal infinitely renewable energy.
A Sustainable Economy is a Resource Based Economy or sharing of every resource for the benefit an uplftment of all humanities flourishing. I am examining myself as to how I can now incorporate the idea of “resource based economy” in my own personal life and universe.
Thanks to Artists, social engineers, philosophers and spiritual teachers we are learning that many viable energy resources and technology have been held back by the pervasive monetary system that is based on Lack or Scarcity.  Lack and Scarcity a control factor and a lie, a false idea perpetuated by the monetary system that our lives and our consciousness are based on. The monetary system be it Socialism, Communism, Capitalism or Fascism can not and will not exist in the Age of Awareness.  The age of Human Flourishing is what I see coming.
I have always loved the word FLOURISHING. Let’s add that list of Sustainable Thought words.
“The truth crushed to earth shall rise again”.  All the while there has been a still small voice within me that said there are enough resources on this planet for art, housing, medical care, food, transportation and technology to take care of EVERYONE on earth in abundant supply.

Messages of Unlimited Abundance, Peace, and Love are all over the place as we develop eyes to see.  Even in Fashion we see the message of Abundance, and Flourishing.  Fashion Design that utilizes lots of fabric, lots of vibrant color.  It is a message to me.  Yes, minimalism is also valid and beautiful representing a Stillpoint of awareness.  This is a time when I want to create through fashion memories and awareness of Abundance.
My truth is 1.  We are One, and 2. There is enough of everything for everyone.  As I reflect that truth I expand my personal universe and the universe as a whole.

Dual Citizenship. Seekers look for a path or way of life that comfortably answers these questions about our life purpose. One can go to the edge of the forest and find precious metals for life and be sustained.  Our journey can be deeper and deeper into the forest and find even greater and greater life treasures and freedom.

FREEDOM is FREE WILL

To operate in Free Will is major spiritual growth.  The free will is like a joystick that is wiggling in the air above us, we grab it periodically and guide our minds and feelings then is jumps back in the world wiggling just above our heads,  Artists get to know free will immediately, we grab that joy stick and paint, or build a business with our focused mind, then we let it go.  We grab it again to weather a crisis, and we let it go wiggling again, until we need to paint, write, love someone uncontrollably again.  More and more we grow, holding onto our Joystick longer and longer.
Free Will is for everyone, it is gross then sublime.     Free Will turns our thoughts ON to what ever story we want and free will also turns thoughts OFF to the stillness; to dwell in the vastness.  Meditation Tantra or techniques to gain stillness or vastness to dwell in our realm of the everpresent is the delight of delights. This is why we fellowship together.  The song “All joy happiness harmony and peace are found in the contemplation of the supreme in the holy gathering”.
I am a seeker and being a seeker also lead me to be an artist, and I am so happy about that.  The artistic path to knowing self is fabulous, its dramatic and full of color.  So baby I got sensational stories. Stories of creating a healthy lifestyle and becoming vegetarian and refining that, to becoming non judgemental and refining that, being a black nationalists and refining that, being a mother, a wife, a lover, a business woman and constantly refining that.  I have deep stories too of crazy thoughts I identified with.

What I keep discovering is that the artistic path demands stillness and sturdiness and because of this process I now know the power of the subtle, the invisible energy of all things is really what is real.  The truth is I am Love.  Love wants and is Joy.  What we see is just a symbol, and appearance.  I create the appearance of Love and Joy in my garments but what really makes them powerful is my energy of love.  Just like mom’s food prepared wanting you to be filled with love, I want you and me and everyone to be covered in love.
When you wear Culture, when you wear Spirit Culture there is love with you.  Greta Wallace recently said “you are being assisted” to Speak at the podium, to work your job, to support your love ones, to vitalize your health, to hold that Joy Stick longer and longer.  We are all artists.
Artist can discover the power of love in so many layers. I began learning of my dual citizenship with my first spiritual teacher Osuagwu from Nigeria of Conscious Cosmic Citizenship Ministries while living in Atlanta in 1980.  Recently I heard Dr. Beckwith on a Rickie Beckwith cd speak of our “dual citizenship”.  As artists we are creating a new paradigm of style and expression because everything is constantly changing and we can make it a CHANGE of joy peace and love bringing the Infinite dimension of ourselves into our world of time and stories. We have come together to be of spiritual assistance to the Barack Obama Family, and to embrace him politically by organizing ourselves (Artists, Designers and Visionaries) and our world of clients, friends, family and the general public to politically support Barack Obama’s election for the next two terms as the President of the United States.

We will begin where we are. I am in Charlotte North Carolina. North Cacalakie. We will conduct Voter Registration, Get Out To Vote Campaigns. In the city and in the countryside.

I have this idea now that we are all actually Super Beings who are born into a world of unconsciousness that thinks that we are just these bodies. The world of unconsciousness throws in our krytonite raef (spelled backwards) and some laziness creating the “normal human”. The adventure is to discover that we have super powers and that our identity continues well past our body. Hey, if we go beyond the body to our Emotions then we can experience Joy, Courage, Discipline, Responsibility and Gratitude are some wonderful Super Power foods. Our Super Powers are activated by our joyous and creative thoughts and feelings. The adventure is to find ways of sustaining this activation.

Because we were so convinced that we are only this individual flesh and scattered mind then we could get caught in the snare of the Super Power Mind. But watch out. The Super Power Mind can be your worst foe or your best friend. The Super Power Mind wants to have dominion over you. But you see if you bow down to it then you are subject to domination by the Strongest Mind (the Wizard of OZ) which was created by you in your confusion. It is so devious it is created by your mind and it controls your mind. But this happened when you believed that the smartest person was the best person. Well, now you know that you have the greatest access to your mind and therefore the greatest power over it. The adventure is Self Awareness creating with your mind the best feelings you can have right now. We are constantly creating knowingly or unknowingly.

The magic is, that as soon as we think it and feel it we have done 99% of the process and we instantaneously feel 99% of the experience of what we want even before the physical manifestation. Instantaneously we feel more expanded joy, and isn’t that why we want what we want, for more joy? I love this factor. I receive instanteous gratification of Health and Well Being for Thinking and Feeling wonderful about my thoughts.

Sustainable Spiritual Benefits come from Sustainable Spiritual Lifestyle. I don’t know about you but, I see that I must develop a morning ritual to delve into my spiritual reality with my mind or actually without my mind (meditation) and I must write and play with the tool box of goodies that strengthen my thoughts toward joyous expansion and financial freedom. Super beings create their Best Life Consciously with the loving assistance of the whole universe all the time.

This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius for real. This Imus controversy and the Oprah Town Meeting to discuss What’s Next? is all part of Energetic Cosmic Shift that resonates to higher and higher levels of consciousness.

Like Oprah, Bill Cosby, many have been bewildered about what to do about the human degeneration or “hole in the soul” (thank you Dr. Robin) of society personified by institutionalized cultural standard of objectifying woman as sex object and further denigration of the young Black woman as a “Ho”. Woman as sex object and Inferior to men is so well established that Pimping is a term of endearment and style. Why do we admire Snoop Dogg? Because he is Cool-wow, it’s shit but it taste GOOD! Interesting that Snoop personifies male with female physical features (dress, hairstyles, nails) and a natural resonance with feminine energy (he knows women) he can take Femininity and express it through a hard masculine body and mind, and attract very pretty (unconscious) women. Unconsciousness of women is part of the past cosmic age of Pisces. Well, we are nearing 2012 which is when the Age of Aquarius begins and the Divine Feminine rises out of the ashes.

The young women of Spelman College interviewed on Oprah about sexist society, the White woman who wrote in about her inner transformation response to the Imus incident, this is the Divine Feminine. The general uproar about the “N” word. These are many of the counter incidents that speak to the higher consciousness required to harmoniously be on the planet. There are are many positive steps being taken. Earth Day, we are discovering more “oneness” with all there is. Consciousness is growing, the Divine Feminine is Spiritual Consciousness for all.

Spring! Easter is a particularly special time for me. The part of me that is permanent, that wears no clothes, eyeliner, hair do, or pedicure has my full attention.

It was an Easter weekend, Good Friday about 12 years ago when I entered a sacred sweatlodge located near the L.A. airport conducted by White Eagle with my sister friend Oshun. The Lodge was packed tight with naked bodies in total total total darkness and Heat. This was my second or third sweat lodge, but this time the Heat was its most intense, and the sweat poured in pools around me. The Prayers were wonderful, folks praying for their ex-husbands and wives, past enemies and loved ones that they be fullfilled and happy. This was a real energy shift. Then White Eagle told the meaning of Easter. Oshun my Priestess Sister helped me remember the details of White Eagles ministry to us that night. As usual I hold onto the frequency of what is said but forget the “story”. But that Good Friday night under the full moon, I went into my first conscious act of non-resistance.
The Phases of Resurrection taught in the Christian Mysteries. Praise (Palm Sunday), Blame, Abandonement Good Friday and then torture, surrender and resurrection is the Easter Story. The Torture by external forces,  the questioning and blame, the surrender and forgiveness, Realizing that the external forces are not the power we seek, not the definers of who we are, the dwelling within on Good Friday and embodyment of the Primordial Wisdom and Light vibrating a sacred frequency of The Christ, the Resurrection is personal transformation and transcendence. This Sacred Space Christ energy that we come here to hold once again as human is the Resurrection. The Christ energy is who we truly are. The Spirit within is our true identity no matter what our religious persuasion.  Well, I came off “the fence”, I stopped pushing the up and down elevator button.  I decided to Decide to Choose and focus on what really makes me happy.  To be free, to create, to love and be loved, to radiate a frequency that causes light to brighten.

These ideas guide me to be one with Spirit and to live a Spirit Culture.

Oshun reminded me of the time my turquois and lavender silk chiffon dress was on the cover of Essence Magazine, and how everyone was talking about it as so so beautiful, but the fact was you really couldn’t see how the dress was made but yet you felt it was so beautiful. It was the frequency of the dress, for I remember that I had said a prayer a mantra with every stitch, and press of that dress. Something in all of us responds to the frequency of light in that dress.
